A corridor connecting the annex to the raised main floor of the building’s auditorium contains both stairs and a wheelchair lift for accessibility. The creation of the new entrance and corridor enabled the school and community to use the existing auditorium and new multipurpose room after hours.

Kelly Maiello adapted the school district’s prototype annex design for the campus while incorporating site-specific cues. For example, three different brick colors were used on the exterior to harmonize with existing structures, and along the building’s north side, a landscaped and brick-paved area echoes a pattern established in the front yards of adjacent houses.
