The Armory at Drexel
is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and its spaces are currently shared by the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and Drexel University. The newly completed rehabilitation of the 85,000-square-foot Classical Revival building included exterior masonry repair and cleaning, new windows, doors and roof. Interior work included new HVAC, electrical, plumbing, telecom and fire alarm systems, and architectural finish upgrades to walls, floors and ceilings. ADA accessiblity was provided throughout the facility. The armory has been the home of the National Guard’s 103rd Engineering Battalion since the 1920s and also hosts Drexel’s Army ROTC program.
