Emanuel Kelly, FAIA, moderated "One on One with Cherelle Parker," hosted by the Design Advocacy Group on October 20 at the Center for Architecture and Design. Before an audience of nearly 100, the Democratic mayoral candidate answered questions on topics ranging from historic preservation, city planning, and the design review process, to design equity in neighborhoods, affordable housing, public school facilities, and the city's role in leading regional environmental best practices. On September 19, Rebuild Philadelphia broke ground at the Kingsessing Recreation Center on a $25 million improvement project encompassing renovations to both the historic building and the site itself.
