Big Cat Falls
The Philadelphia Zoo

The project to create Big Cat Falls from the Philadelphia Zoo's existing Carnivora House transforms a static and dated "cat in a box" exhibit into an educational, entertaining experience that more closely resembles viewing big cats in the wild. New pathways lead zoo visitors through naturally-landscaped outdoor habitats for lions, tigers, leopards and other big cats. The existing building has been adapted for multi-media presentations and back-of-house tours. Bank of America Big Cat Falls was chosen 2007 Exhibit of the Year by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
