Tasker Homes, built in 1942, was an existing housing complex of 925 units situated on 44 acres in South Philadelphia. Kelly/Maiello was responsible for project administration and design direction for comprehensive improvements, program, and concept design planning. Throughout the process, the firm worked closely with the Tasker Resident Council. After investigating alternative options, Kelly/Maiello developed a Master Plan for construction of all new units–546 in total, new site utilities and amenities, and new community facilities. The plan includes units for rent and home ownership.
