Free Library of Philadelphia

After an international search and competition, the Free Library of Philadelphia selected the design team led by Moshe Safdie & Associates for the expansion and renovation of the Central Library on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The project calls for a major addition and renovation to accommodate new technologies, expanding collections and the widening role of the library as an urban activity center. Kelly/Maiello's role as local architect on the project team is focused on the restoration, renovation and upgrade of the historic neoclassical building.
