After completing the Family Court Master Plan, Kelly/Maiello has been responsible for the $12 million phased renovation to the neoclassical landmark (211,000 SF) on Logan Circle. The four-phase renovation addresses priorities, funding, construction logistics and sequencing. Phase I provided renovation and restoration to historic materials in public areas, design for code, security, and detention issues. Phase II included renovations to the entire second floor, 45,000 SF of offices, plus first-floor courtrooms. Phase III addresses exterior facade renovation, and Phase IV will include interior renovations to the mezzanine and lower level, plus restoration of interior murals. Systems rehabilitation is included in each phase.
