Philadelphia City Hall
Philadelphia Department of Public Property

Philadelphia City Hall is a major civic landmark at the intersection of the City's two most important thoroughfares. Built over a period of 30 years (1871-1901), the French Second Empire structure is a National Historic Landmark with more than 990,000 SF of interior space built around a 40,000 SF courtyard. The restoration of City Hall brings the building into the 21st Century with a multi-phase plan to preserve the building and grounds, accommodate future uses, and permit the incorporation of new technologies. Kelly/Maiello's work on the project has included development of a Master Plan for expanded public uses, a series of interior renovations for a variety of city agencies, and the phased restoration of its historic exterior.
