  • Philadelphia City Hall
    Phase 4 of Kelly/Maiello’s Philadelphia City Hall Exterior Envelope project that includes restoration work at the courtyard and the interior lightwalls is now underway. When construction of that final phase is complete in 2010, the multi-year project will have completely restored the exterior of Philadelphia’s crown-jewel civic treasure.
      
  • President's House: Freedom and Slavery in Making a New Nation Update

    The President's House was featured on the front page of the Philadelphia Inquirer on Monday, June 30th. The article gives a comprehensive account  of the importance of what the site represents, not only to African American history, but American history as a whole.     Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, Chief of Staff Clarence Armbrister and the Oversight Committee attended the Kick-Off Meeting in City Hall, May 19, 2008, for the restart of the President’s House project. An increased project budget includes the design for a glass enclosure through which visitors can view the archaeological fragments that were discovered in the summer 2007.

      
  • Free Library of Philadelphia
    The design team is back at work on the expansion and renovation of the Central Library on Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Kelly/Maiello is working with Francis Cauffman and Moshe Safdie Associates on the project.



  • Congratulations!

    Kelly/Maiello congratulates Victor Guarino on passing The Architectural Registration Examination, now making a registered Architect in Pennsylvania.  

    Kelly/Maiello congratulates Robert Glick, RA and Michael Wittich, AIA for passing the LEED Certification exam and becoming LEED certified architects. This accreditation is not only a major achievement for the two architects, but also broadens Kelly/Maiello’s level of involvement in Green and Sustainable Architecture. Kelly/Maiello is also a member of the U.S Green Building Council.

  • West Philadelphia High School

    Kelly/Maiello has been selected to design the new West Philadelphia High School for the School District of Philadelphia.

  • The Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building

    The Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building, once the Reliance Insurance Company building, and now the new gallery and administrative space for the Philadelphia Museum of Art has received the Construction Excellence Award for the Best Historic Preservation Project from the General Building and Contractors Association. Kelly/Maiello was responsible for exterior restoration of the Perelman Gallery.

  • The Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection Opening

    Emanuel Kelly, FAIA was on hand to celebrate the opening of the new and larger gallery containing the Charles L Blockson Afro- American Collection in Sullivan Hall at Temple University on March 11, 2008. Kelly/Maiello is responsible for the programing, planning, schematic design and design development for the new gallery that houses an extensive  collection of African American art work, as well as writings from many influential African American leaders.   • The Bank of America Big Cat Falls Exhibit
    The Bank of America Big Cat Falls exhibit at the Philadelphia Zoo received the 2007 Exhibit of the Year Award from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Kelly/Maiello was the Associate Architect for the project

  • Welcome

    We welcome a new addition to our firm, architect William Breard. William specializes in Historic Preservation.

     

    This summer Kelly/Maiello also welcomes two intern architects. Daniel Elmore and Christina Marconi. Daniel is entering his fourth year at Syracuse University. Christina is a senior in University of Pennsylvannia's six year master's program.
